Hull and East Riding Organ Group – HEROG – is for all who are interested in and enjoy music of the pipe, theatre and electronic organ. We welcome all members as listeners, performers, and home organists. We especially encourage those learning the instrument, as well as those who would like to extend their knowledge about the organ and its music.

As a group, HEROG visits notable instruments within a wide radius of Hull to which all members are welcome to attend, play and listen.

In addition, we also encourage those who are interested in knowing more about the mechanics of organs and organ building to meet with us.

The Group meets monthly and there is an annual membership fee (currently £21) which covers costs of heating the meeting place, as well as costs incurred by venues that we visit.

We welcome all interested people to our meetings. Our group is friendly and sociable, we always have an interval which include refreshments or visits to local cafes.

HEROG is affiliated to the IAO (the Incorporated Association of Organists). The Incorporated Society of Organists is a registered charity that provides information, support, education and training for organists, choir trainers and organ enthusiasts. It is an influential voice in the classical music world, providing a strong network and representation for over 4500 members worldwide and nearly 80 affiliated associations.
